Complex Systems Are Built by Engineering.
Operational Capability Has to Be Built Too.

I build the connective tissue between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, facilities, maintenance, customers, and leadership so advanced hardware can move from development into first-asset execution and repeatable field operations.

Functions operating well, but not yet as one system

Build the operating model that makes execution repeatable
About

I work at the point where the plan meets the real world.

My career began at the wrench-turning and operator level, where consequences were immediate and systems knowledge was earned in the aircraft. I spent 22 years in naval aviation as a mechanic, Flight Engineer, instructor, and operational leader, logging more than 6,000 flight hours on P-3 Orion and C-130 aircraft.

I later moved into flight test, maintenance leadership, technical data, fleet support, and program readiness on major aerospace programs. The altitude changed, but the operating problem stayed remarkably consistent: capable but siloed functions often execute well individually while the enterprise struggles to integrate them around one executable readiness plan. This is the white space I operate in.

That is the work I do now. I expose dependencies early, clarify ownership, create operating models, establish readiness criteria, and build the procedures and feedback loops that make the next deployment more repeatable than the first. I am also applying that same systems mindset to software and product development focused on field operations intelligence.

Operating Model

What I actually bring
to the operating environment.

01
First-Asset Readiness
Build the organization, processes, support infrastructure, and decision structure required before the first aircraft, system, or deployment arrives.
02
Cross-Functional Integration
Align engineering, suppliers, facilities, maintenance, logistics, customers, and leadership around a single execution model and visible dependencies.
03
Execution Discipline
Translate technical requirements, contractual obligations, milestones, cost, schedule, and risk into accountable actions and decision points.
04
Scalable Operating Models
Create governance, procedures, playbooks, lessons-learned systems, and feedback loops so early execution becomes repeatable institutional capability.

Readiness Before First Arrival
Built and led a maintenance support organization that achieved 100% readiness before first aircraft arrival in a high-consequence flight-test environment.

Integrated Test Team Planning
Developed staffing and organizational plans for a multi-company Integrated Test Team spanning prime contractors and vendor maintenance organizations.

What I'm Building

Building the next layer
of field operations intelligence.

I am applying three decades of operator, maintainer, flight-test, and program leadership experience to a simple problem: how do we capture what field teams know, connect it to what systems are doing, and turn that knowledge into better operational decisions?

Active Development
IntelliSquawk
An aviation maintenance operations platform designed around real shop-floor workflow. IntelliSquawk structures maintenance history, parts behavior, recurring discrepancies, and frontline knowledge so the operational record becomes more useful with every work order.

Operating Thesis
Field Operations Intelligence
The broader operating thesis behind my work: field teams accumulate critical knowledge that organizations struggle to capture, connect, and reuse. I am interested in the systems, workflows, and feedback loops that turn frontline experience into better readiness, risk visibility, and increasingly repeatable execution.

Shipped Products
AI-Assisted Product Development
Two iOS applications shipped using AI-assisted development workflows despite having no traditional software engineering background. The point is not the apps themselves. The point is learning how quickly a domain expert can turn an operational idea into a working product when modern tools remove part of the technical barrier.

Current Role
Enterprise Readiness Leadership
Currently leading fleet and field support readiness for a new aircraft program while drawing on prior experience standing up maintenance support before first aircraft arrival, leading technical data organizations, and integrating complex multi-company teams across engineering, operations, facilities, logistics, and sustainment.

Let's talk.

If you are moving complex hardware from development into field execution, standing up a new operating function, or trying to make cross-functional readiness visible and accountable, that is a conversation I am always interested in having.
